To experience the ultimate hunting adventure down under it is possible to hunt the top end of Australia with Southern Safaris then make the short flight on to New Zealand to hunt the majestic Southern Alps with Lake Hawea Hunting Safaris.
Bronwyn and Chris have a long and successful relationship with Paul and Deidre at Southern Safaris Australia. We enjoy a great personal friendship along with our business relationship catering for multiple game species across the south Pacific. We understand it is a long trip down under and encourage hunters to maximise the long flight and hunt both Australia and New Zealand.
Lake Hawea Hunting Safaris have been successfully operating since 1993. We have a solid name for providing hunters with a genuine Kiwi hunting experience. Our hunting safaris are run in mind-blowing surroundings which have to be seen to be believed.
We are a free-range hunting outfitter offering some of the best South Island private land hunting in New Zealand for: whitehall, red stag, wapiti, tahr, chamois, fallow, awapara ram, wild goat and wallaby. We also offer trout fishing in New Zealand's pristine, crystal clear waters and small game shooting for possum and rabbits.
We have contacts for hunting in New Zealand's North Island for sika, sambar and rusa deer.
With all our hunting we strongly encourage our hunters to hunt free-range in the true Kiwi spirit. Success rates on our private land properties are excellent with comfortable onsite accommodation in all our hunting areas.
Red stags of gold and silver SCI quality do not roam wild in New Zealand. If you do desire to hunt a stag of this quality we will arrange a safari park hunt.
To get the most from your south Pacific hunting experience consider the short 3-hour flight to New Zealand where the red stag roars and the bull tahr look down from on high, the rivers are clear and the people are friendly and real.
Feel free to call Paul and Deidre or Chris and Bronwyn for further information on hunting New Zealand. Our New Zealand contact details and further can be found at www.hawea-hunting.co.nz

Hunting in South Africa
Sunguti Safaris offers outstanding hunting opportunities for a multitude of African game animals available on three separate, broad-acre hunting concession outfitted with excellent accommodation facilities and operated by experience and licensed professional hunters.
The Eastern Cape Province hunting concession covers some 45,000 hectares of mountain country, wide-open grasslands, karoo and thick valley bush. Exceptional hunting opportunities exist for kudu, eland, bushbuck, springbuck, mountain reedbuck, black wilderbeast, klipspringer and many others. Hunting season is from February through to October, with prime times being May 'til the end of August. The hunting area is accessed from Port Elizabeth airport, where hunters are met and road transferred the three-hours' drive to the concessions.
North West Province
The North West Province hunting concession is an unfenced hunting area of some 5000 hectares bordering Botswana. Here you are able to experience the thrill of stalking full mane lion in the red Kalahari sands between the prominent acacia trees. Also present are eland, red hartebeest, blue willderbeast, gemsbuck and others. Accommodations are an air-conditioned lodge with swimming pool and bar, located cental to the hunting area where, at times, lions can be heard roaring at night. The North West hunting concession is accessed by either flying into Kimberly airport + a 4.5 hour road transfer to camp, or by simply chartering a flight from Johannesburg directly to the hunting camp.
The Limpopo concession is typical savanna and thorn bush country, located between nature reserves and only 60km from Kruger National Park. Cape buffalo, greater kudu, blue wilderbeast, waterbuck, impala, zebra, giraffe are amongst a few of the trophy game present. Accommodations are a newly-thatched lodge and three chalets, each with 2 double bedrooms, shared bathroom, small kitchen and living room. Meals are served in the dining room in the main lodge, which also has a bar and an indoor jacuzzi. Hunting the Limpopo concessions offers the flexibility to be able to combine non-hunt activities such as game watching at Kruger, hot air balloon trips or elephant-back safaris. To access the Limpopo concession, hunters will need to charter to the concession or a road transfer of some 5.5 hours. Hunting season is from February to October with prime times being from March to September.
